Murray Basin Rail Project

 DSL worked with the Martinus Rail and McConnell Dowell Joint Venture, as well as V/Line to deliver this $440 million dollar project in the North-West of Victoria.

 6 weld crews and 18 labourers delivered 1800 welds across network from Mildura, Murrayville, Maryborough and Ararat, as well as provided labour for re-gauging 100s of kilometres of track from broad to standard gauge.

 Works included re-gauging existing broad-gauge turnouts to standard gauge, free welds, de-stresses, installation of IRJs, constructing, welding and grinding new standard and dual guage turnouts, diamonds and catch points, as well as defect rectification.
